Leisure Suit Larry was one of my first action/adventure games on my original 286 computer running off of DOS. I'll never forget when I finally pieced it all together
me (as a pre-teen)- "Daddy, what is Watergate?" Dad- "Why do you want to know?" me- "I want to play Larry" Dad- "oikay, I'm coming"
me (as a pre-teen)- "I can't believe you let me play that game!" Dad- "Until know you didn't know what you were doing and it kept you out of our hair"
on the original game did you ever put in your real age and get kicked out? how about failing 2 questions? "you're a kid! shame on you for trying to deceive a friendly game like this!" how about putting 100 as your age "no you're not!" and yet 99 worked :-P
My stepfather just got me the pack that runs on Windows XP YAY!!!!!!!!!!
and try the "zipper function" on Gary in the 6th game and the Windows XP version puts rude noises in some of the unused function keys ;-)
I also remember asking the convience store clerk for a "lubber" :-P and one of my favorite commands was establish eye contact, took me a while to figure out I could just type in look at girl :-P I learned how to spell establish though ;-)
