How old is she? Kids are strange, all of mine were different. Daughter no. 1 never wanted me to sleep with her or even lie down with her. Daughter no. 2 ( my 9 yr old) would love it if she could sleep with me every night. But, she has always slept in her own bed and only gets to sleep with me if she's sick or Jerre is gone. With the other kids that I raised, my son snuck into my room every night. I would wake up to go pee and literally step right down on him with his blanket and pillow right at the foot of my bed. My other daughter was like the first one, she always wanted to sleep by herself.
I think it's our fault for just letting her get away with it- and for travelling probably too much to get a good schedule going. My husband normally goes to sleep before Noelle and I do, and by default- and because I'm tired, I lay down with her to read and it's always "oh, I'll close my eyes just for a minute" and then at 3 am, I wake up and trudge to my own bed.
I love my husband, but for the most part, I'm always a single parent past 8 pm (and when he travels for work-which is a lot) and it wears me out! :)
I think I may talk to her dr. about it- since it's interfering with the entire family's schedule...
