The barn where George Custer staged his charge that helped win Gettysburg was torn down earlier this week. That area is being turned into a housing developement catering to 'active adults without children' according the Sunday newspaper. One of THOSE days
I'm trying to find if there is a name for the sub-genre of SF that revolves around current events/trends extrapolated to the near future (in the next 5 centuries or so), and if anyone still writes it.
So far I haven't found that, but I did come across a list of Amish Science Fiction.
