Where the hell do you work where you actually get two years to work on the backend of a website, that's what I want to know.

First, SAS

And to clarify, working towards the release. This was a migration of their existing content migration system. They had something like 10,000 existing pages and we needed it migrated over and integrated into the new functionality. I was hired for this two years ago, architecture, requirements gathering, training, we started development a year ago. 6 months ago we transferred all existing campaign and event sites over and the first of this month the main site went live as well.

That sounds remarkably similar to a project we had at work last year...which they expected us to get done in a few months. So yes, I still envy the fact that your workplace seems to give you time to do things.

Happy New Year to you and your family! ALSO - Happy belated birthday! I'm curious, what are your thoughts on the T-Mobile droid phone vs Verizon iPhone trade?

It was a bit scary, cause I'm use to the iPhone but only after 2 days I'd have to say the nexus 5 is far better.

1. It's a 1080p screen. It's wider and taller and I thought that would be awkward but it's not.
2. The apps, I find far better. Apple is far more controlling over what it offers. And it restricts certain things like in app purchases. So take the kindle, which now has the store built in compared to the apple app.
3. The customization is amazing. I don't like what google is turning into. There's quite a bit of fear and loathing there. But I was amazed over the amount of things I could replace. Don't like their integrated SMS Hangouts app? I replaced the SMS program. Don't like their email program? there are tons of alternatives.

The things missing from the android experience? Apps are a bit cheaper. One of the few games I play focuses their development on Apple, I don't know if that's a one off or a trend.
