Killed my g+ account today
I've been slowly scaling back on it and I finally just cut the cord.
A relief actually. And it's good to know that it seems to have only affected my g+ and not my email. Although I will be shutting that down as well. -

I'm currently changing my email service over to fastmail.fm
very happy with it so far. The web interface is great. They don't data mine me because it's a pay for service... And I can use it to manage contact lists, and domains. -
On going dark
I deactivated my facebook account this week. Which is apparently different then deleting my facebook account. I'll be doing that soon ( Read more... ) -

Money is odd
Whether I've been fortunate or not has always been a matter of perspective. I can say, that I have been both on welfare and I have ascended the ladder to the point where I was in the top 10% of money earners in the US and then fell back again ( Read more... ) -

So I dropped g+ out of my own moral outrage over their insistence that people use, so-called "real names" something they should trade mark.
I miss it. but there you go. I may cave and eventually go back but it I'm going to hold out a bit longer. -
