Well, didn't do very well. I'm terribly disappointed with my results, as are my parents, and I know I did awful in English because I mis-read the question and did the opposite we were supposed to do. Too late now I guess ( Read more... )

Um...sorry if I'm being an idiot, but isn't A like...the highest there is? Cause if it is, I'm thinking you're a genious...heh.

Ahh...my bad? Really, I get the high expectations on yourself deal, I'm the same way! Or at least, I used to be...now I'm just lazy ;)

I wish we had the same grade system as you guys! We only have four grades: MVG, VG, G and IG. MVG is the highest, IG means you didn't pass, G means you did pass. And blah blitty blah. Our system sucks, since there's such a thin line between the grades. School is evil.

And I still say you're a genious!

Lol. With some subjects, the grades are really high. For example, for Art, you have to get 97% if you want to get an A*. For other subjects it could be as low as 75%.

My school did this crazy thing a couple years back where they scrapped the Alphabet grades in school exams for numbers. Numbers one through 10, 10 being the highest. Except, you could never get 10s, because it was the 'perfect' grade. So the highest mark was 9. Very confusing.

*grins* Not a genius but any stretch of the imagination. My head isn't big enough.

I hate you.

just kidding but dude! What are you disappointed with!? You did awful in English?! You got As!!!! Seriously girl.... if you knew what I got back when I was in school you'd think before disregarding your results. They are not so easy to attain! Well maybe they are now... you say you did awful in English and got an A. I worked my ass off for 2 years to get from an E to a B and I was ecstatic...

Stop pissing and moaning and congratulate yourself on a triumph! You can do whatever you like now! :D

Lol, it's just that it's below the standards of my school, and I fucked up a paper in the English, managing to get a C because I did the opposite of what I was supposed to...I remember coming out of the exam, talking about it and everyone was like 'shiiiit, you mucked up badly'. I didn't get a terribly low mark because my coursework was full marks, but it's so frustrating knowing that I could have gotten top marks if I wasn't so damn careless.

I'm less disappointed than yesterday, to the extent that I don't care because I got A/A*s for the subjects I'm doing for A-level, so yeah, I'm gonna stop the moaning and get on with the celebrating :D

Wow, they seem like EXCELLENT results to me! Well done!

What were you hoping for? I'm guessing you must have pretty high standards if you were dissapointed with these, but then in that case I'm also guessing that you must be going on to do A levels, in which case your GSCE results won't really matter too much once you've done them. And then A levels won't matter if you go on to do a degree. So really honey, don't stress. You did great and if you look at the bigger picture it's no biggie anyway. *hugs*

*hugs* Thanks very much, I was expecting four A*s, four As and a B, but I mucked up. Yep, going on to A-levels, so I'm going to work extra hard on my five subjects, have no social life at all and get top marks, go on to uni to work even harder, have no social life at all and get top marks. Sounds good, doesn't it? Listen to me saying I'll work harder, I'll work for about a week and go back to reading/writing fanfiction. *grins*

DUDE! You did fantastically!! Really, and truly, you did.

The thing about going to our school is that you end up with this warped idea of what's good and what's bad. Everyone seems to think that getting a B is bad, when it's in fact incredibly good. If you ask people who go to normal schools (heh), most of those people are pretty ecsatatic with a couple of As, a few Bs and mostly Cs. So by that standard you did amazingly!

What I'm trying to say is, I completely understand if you're disappointed because you feel that you're capable of more. But don't think for a second that your results are bad, because that's just not true. And in any case, you're doing A Levels now, and you can repeat modules if you feel you can do better.

So smile! :o)

I know! Stupid school. With the school expecting so much of me, my parents/family expecting so much of me and my friends getting the marks I should be getting, it's very disappointing when I flop down and don't achieve what I'm supposed to.

Grr. A-Levels. I've got about a week and a few days to bask in the bliss of being free and then I'm back to school. Fuck, should finish my art project.
