I always feel really insecure about posting my sketches, but idk why, I love when other people post really rough sketches...and that was the point of this lj to begin with. Okay, nice roundabout argument.
I've been reading Blankets and Gogo Monster ... and Madame Bovary, the last one isn't exactly relevant.

they are so gorgeous, ughhh im self concious about my sketches too and i was like "lol dis might inspire me to upload my own XD" but NO I AM SO OVERWHELMED BY HOW NICE YOUR SKETCHES ARE ;_; SO GOOD

thank you dobiee, awh upload them!! I think I would have to say that I enjoy seeing peoples sketches more then finished pieces of work most of the time.

Haha, I can TOTALLY see some Gogo Monster influence in the first one, I think! I recently read it myself, wasn't it a beautiful work of art?

Oh my god yeah, I loved it so much. Both of the comics make me want to do my own, but gogo monster especially. I mean, those pages where it's basically pitch black and you can only see the faint outlines of things is just amazing.

I. KNOW. I KNOOOOOW!!! Those pages were some of my favourites. I also loved how juxtaposed some of the classmates were; you'd have the main characters looking realistic right next to characters who looked like scary children's drawings and somehow it WORKED really well! And the overall presentation of the book was gorgeous too, 30 dollars well spent, imo. So beautiful. Ugh. So. pretty. SODAMNPRETTY.

I still haven't read Blankets yet. Dobie recommends it to me regularly but I just haven't gotten around to spending the money on it, haha.

I found both books on amazon for around 22 dollars haha and I didn't realize Blankets was almost 600 pages, so I was extremely excited when it came.

UUUH im gonna have to recommend you do more comics because they would be a gift to the world. seriously. they are stellar. AND YOUR SKETCH COMPLEX I have it too. Yours are gorgeous though, full and clean yesss

and i know, i made my lj to eliminate annoying sketchdumps on da and to catch up with anyone else but i actually haven't posted anything i've drawn in months, i feel like i should really start scanning things in and updating with my stuff more often
