ENGL200 Week 7

In our tutorial this week we looked at Matthew Arnold’s The Scholar Gypsy.

We focussed on the ideas that

• the people of today are self indulgent and
• the people of today are trying to have too many aims in life.

It is week 10 and your last entries were for week 7 - so you are running behind. But overall I am impressed with the way you have been able to stay on top of both LJs for the two units you are doing. Some excellent interactions with others and some thoughtful commentaries. I would also like to see you try your hand at some different modes of responding- for example a poem, a letter to some person, a short, short, story.... these could be ways of flexing your verbal muscle.....
