i got cancelled today, they could call me in at 11, but looking at the schedule I got cancelled because they had 8 nurses on the schedule, not for low patient census. wtf. this is because they've put 5 new nurses on days. I guess this gives me a reason to look for a new job. I just like brackenridge patients. and why do we still have travel nurses ( Read more... )

Why did they pick you to get cancelled today?

probably because i've never been cancelled before, but the only time i've seen people cancelled are for low census, and then usually they get called in later for admits. and its like oh 4 days this week they have more nurses than they need on the schedule. I know they wont cancel me tomorrow, but its just really inconvenient...because now i'm only getting 24 hours of work this week. so i either use my pto or don't get my 36 hours? how is that right?
