Oh, I love impatiens. I have to wait until late April to plant any, though. Did that survive the winter?

Barely. We moved them inside the garage during our freezes, but they still got damaged. When my sister was here, she cleaned out a lot of the dead stuff in many of my pots (including three pots of impatiens), and the impatiens are coming back. She has a green thumb. Me, not so much.

I can't grow impatiens in the ground here, only in pots.
