This is the last week of school! His last day is actually Thursday and they get out at noon.  He has a day camp next week and he's also doing karate twice a week starting today.  We'll probably go to the library a lot, the park, the zoo, the beach, the festivals, and venture out of town for some other stuff like King Richard's Faire and a bigger ( Read more... )

Today was my first run of week 4 of C25K, and it is painfully apparent that from here on out I will have to repeat each week at least once. S I G H

Yeah I'm thinking three days might not be enough for me either once I get into longer run times.

I love when that sort of connection happens! What are the odds? Best of luck to you guys with your NKOTB-loving therapist.

I used to love them, too, but, boringly enough, only when they were popular and part of that was probably because my older sister did. My favorite was Jordan, for reasons I can no longer remember. I think she had already claimed Donnie as her fave, so he was off-limits. But maybe I've already told you all that, I can't remember.

I still remember a lot of their hits...and that I had a pink NKOTB bracelet in second grade, I think. And do you remember the time one of their songs made it to #2 on "Total Request" in 1999? I have it on tape somewhere, can't remember which song it was, though. I want to say it was "Hangin' Tough." I took part in that voting campaign and was so excited to see that it worked, I was hitting up a bunch of my friends online and calling people, all, "Are you watching this?!" I don't think anyone was as amused by it as I was, but whatever, guys, it was great!

In 1999 NKOTB was totally off my radar, so I think I completely missed that. I lost interest around the time Face The Music came out. I don't think I even owned that one.

I think it's too funny that groups of friends or siblings felt like they each had to have a different favorite. It's true though! (and sort of true even these days, LOL)

I can't tell which guy could be the therapist's favorite...maybe Donnie...I'll have to ask her next time.

The TRL thing was a trip. There was this mass email forward going around for weeks beforehand telling everyone to vote for the NKOTB video on a specific date (some time in March, maybe?) to see if we could get it to the top the next day. It couldn't take down whatever was already at #1 (a song by Backstreet Boys or N'Sync, I think), but it came close and it was too funny to see Carson Daly's confused reaction when announcing the video.
