I just read your entry over at candyshop, but i'm not a member and didnt want to start any drama by commenting there. Your story was incredibly sad, and the poem deeply touching. I read the news report, and I just wanted to offer my condolences. I hope the rugby team continue with the season, putting in all their effort, in mannys memory :) although i understand why would choose not to.
Trust me, on an entry like that, there wouldn't have been any drama, but thank you for beng so courteous. Manny was an amazing boy who touched the lives of many in his short 15 years here.
The team has chosen to continue the season in his honour, and all teams in the district will likely wear his number on bracelets to commemorate his life.
We're doing the best we can, the rugby coach is a wreck because he feels he could have just reached out and stopped it, but he didn't. We keep telling him that it's not his fault, but he won't listen. I'm very worried about him, hopefully he takes the weekend to relax and mourn.
Thank you so much for your support, it means the world to me and to all of us here at Lorne Park.
