One life to live and all my children

Feb 07, 2010 02:22

Yep, life around here has been like a soap opera lately. My sister in law (the one with the cancer) remember, I said she didn't have it in any of the lymph nodes and was going to be ok, well it has metastasized to her bones in 4 areas. This is definitely not good, stage 4 cancer is bad. Of course, the doctors keep trying to encourage her and they ( Read more... )

I don't really know you B4G but just wanted to jump in here with an additional caution for your son. He might want to check with an atty because if he acts as the child's father, he may be legally accepted as the father at some point, regardless of blood. State laws vary but he should probably find out.

So sorry about your SIL.

Hmmmmmm, You are right, I hadn't thought of that. I will look this up, but really I don't think it matters to him. He would probably prefer to be the baby's legal father. I talked to him about deciding about adoption until much later when he sees how things work out. I will look into paternity laws in Ark. Thanks

The title of this is QUITE apt.

I really think it is immoral to fire people because your insurance doesn't want to pay. Not just immoral, but disgusting. Oh, and hammer-to-the-heads-of-those-in-charge worthy. I'll think of her.

Your son sounds like a star, stepping in like that. What a lucky babbeh. Hopefully they'll all get something out of it. And congrats with your other news!

Yeah, I think it is a dirty crying shame how my sister in law was treated. She is really pitiful right now, so very depressed. And yeah, I am so proud of my son, he has grown into a fine young man.

You know, I really think all things happen for a reason. Cody has always been a very popular young man, but he has given up partying and drinking during the past year or year and a half. Now he just sits home, too old to be a teenager and too young to sit home without a family or something. He has never been like this. He has never found a girl that he really cares about. I think this baby is going to give him a purpose. The baby needs him and he needs the baby.

Your poor SIL. Sadly these days I can believe that a company would treat someone so horribly. :((

And I agree with Romeny that your son might want to check with an attorney. But I hope everything will go well and there won't any heartache ahead for him!

Thanks, yeah I am really worried about my SIL. She has always been the kind to stay busy and now she will just sit at home worrying.

Re: your SIL; this is only rumour (everywhere on the internet) and I have no personal experience with it at all. But I read that if your body is alkaline, cancer can't grow in it.

If *I* were in her position, I'd want to try everything that isn't too crazy and can't hurt. I could tell you more about it, but if she has any interest, she should probably look it up herself. Just look for keywords such as 'acid ash', 'alkaline', and 'pH'.

Kudos to your son. Love is a wonderful thing. You are certainly right, though, that he could be headed over a cliff.

I will definitely tell her about this and we'll look into it. Thanks loads for that information, I have never heard this. I am like you, I would try anything that wasn't too crazy.
