("It's Christmas!" Koyama had told him when he'd asked, years ago, before Yokoo had turned twenty and they had had to settle for peppermint lattes instead of hot sake. "And Christmas is for member-ai!"
There were many fallacies in that reasoning - Christmas wasn't until the end of the month, for instance, and Yokoo wasn't a member of anything Koyama was part of, not anymore - but then again there were fallacies in all of Koyama's reasoning, so Yokoo had just shrugged and let it go ( ... )

Koyama promptly chokes on his sip of sake, as anticipated. Their entire table is in danger for a moment as Koyama wildly waves in denial and clutches for his napkin and fumbles with his sake cup all at the same time, and Yokoo throws his head back to laugh.
“What?!” Koyama screeches when he’s done pounding his own chest. And then, with a pout, “You’re mean, Wataru!”
“Yes, well… you’re fun to tease.”
“…Did Shigemi tell you that too?!” Koyama wails, embarrassed.
This time, it’s Yokoo who chokes on his drink.

“Did you know you slur your s’s when you’re drunk?” Yokoo giggles.
“I don’t ssslur!” Koyama slurs, affronted. “That-That’ss ssslander!”
“See, you sssssslur,” mocks Yokoo. “Say it, don’t spray it! I know you are but what am I! Dot your t’s and cross your i’s!”
Obligingly, Koyama crosses his eyes.
They dissolve into laughter, clutching at the table and each other.
Then, suddenly, Koyama remembers his original point, straightens up, and points an accusing finger at Yokoo. “You! Pi’s concert! Why not! Answer!”
Yokoo shrugs. “I… wasn’t invited? I don’t know. You haven’t gone either.”
“But I was busy,” Koyama says, pouting. “I’m going as soon as I can! You should come with me! It’s good member-ai, you know.”
“Why do I need to give member-ai to your group?”
“Ehh, that’s silly. Member-ai is for everyone!”
“But don’t we have to be members of some group in common to have member-ai ( ... )

*snort* The way Yokoo sounds like he (and his slight OCD-ness) have simply become accostomed to such things over the years is also very sweet ♥
Koyama giving a smooshy excuse for Kitayama and saying it "with actual conviction". Heh, sweetheart. Apres Shokura and being surrounded by all the tiny people, I'm sure his smooshiness would be on high. Just as I'm sure he would be in to excusing the oldest member xD *pets him* And then Yokoo trying to be all bah-humbug xp

I am SUCH a sucker for Koyama interacting with Shige's otherselves (Wagahai/Nyanta OTP for life, whut), so I just love the next part. Especially when he catches Yokoo off guard, haha~
