The Saga Continues

After a magnificent snow day which included making mini mini chocolate chip cookies and lots of self reflection, I got back to work and started the PR campaign to change the atmosphere/morale at work

Apparently there is a lot of snow going around. But we haven't seen any yet. It was 49 degrees today on the way to work. yesterday we left an hour early. so it was in the low 40s or high 30s. Though if felt much colder yesterday because there was wind.
Hopefully your pr campaign will go well.

Funny you should ask. I finished meeting with everyone on staff yesterday and found out that things have actually been improving in recent months which gave me hope. I me with the "culprit" today and he was alternately open and defensive as I spoke to him, but in the end he admitted that he has had a problem with blurting out the wrong thing to the wrong people and said that he had been unduly influenced by his predessor who had been his supervisor and who was one of the most unhappy people I've ever met and who, I've been told, was vitriolic in his comments against me. My guy still has nightmares about working with him. He really wasn't aware of how much of the negativity he had absorbed. So, the air is cleared and we're on to a new phase! Yay!

That is really excellent news. It sounds like confronting the problem directly has had a positive impact. You never know quite how those things are going to go, so I'm glad it seems to be turning out well!
