One of my goals is to not take things personally. I've worked hard on this and I think today I've lost some ground. Stymied is not one of the mood tags but if it were, I'd be using it today

What solution were you hoping for? Yes, it's bad form they needed to be reminded to include you, but I think your feelings are arising more from the lack of ADA facilities than the oversight, yes?
So if the headquarters do lack ADA required parking, I think it's not out of line for them to make the suggestions they did - short of moving the meeting, what other solutions would they have?
I can see where you would be irked about recieving short notice about the meeting when you had worked on the final report. Based on the fact that you didn't know where the "usual" meeting place was, I am assuming that the person responsible for meeting notification was thinking about the members who had been there before and forgot to add you in

Thanks for the perspectives--they helped a lot. I hate having a disability and having to deal with it and having to involve other people even more. So, naturally I was miffed at the situation, wishing the writer had offered to park my car so I wouldn't have to ask someone when it really was too late to ask someone else, wishing the people in the system office had thought of this before, and wishing I could just crawl under a rock instead of having to make, and act upon, a decision and in so doing become the poster girl for ADA for these folks. Sigh. I think I'm at the bottom of the U curve of life. Got to get out of my own head and back on the job of changing the world....maybe after my nap.
*hugs* A lot of people just don't understand what its like to have a disability. They are probably used to being able to do things on short notice. Don't take it personally. Just let them know that you would like a little more notice. If that is there regular meeting place try to make arrangements with someone to help you park for future meetings. You could try car-pooling. Get to know the other people a little better. Over time I think they will come get a better understanding of your situation.
