So, I recently watched a movie called Eagle vs. Shark on the recommendation from this guy I have a crush on that works at I Love Video, a local indie video store. The thing about this guy is that he is cute/not cute in the way that the fact that he is in a band (Attack Formation) and has a job with some indie cred pushes him into the melt range. a couple of things.
A word to the wise; if you really like Gregg Araki (Nowhere, Doom Generation, Mysterious Skin), DO NOT see Smiley Face. It is like the careers of Wayens Brothers mixed with Mad TV and banality. It's just bad. I really wanted to like it, even trying to justify it as a modern interpretation of Dostoyevsky's the Idiot, but then again even Dude, Where' ( Read more... ) -
