I know very little about some of the people on my Friends list.

Here's a thought: Why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself? Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes office supplies."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this ( Read more... )

I love office supplies! How'd you know? Just kidding.

Hmmm, I think you know everything about me already...

Oh, here's something: I love the Golden Girls. Recently, I've noticed a few celebrities say they too like the Golden Girls, and all I have to say is, I loved it first. I still laugh out loud at that show, and that's rare for me.

Hmmm

I'd like to have 3 children. I think that's the perfect number.

(Is that random enough for you?) ;)

In all seriousness, I'd like to be my own boss running a successful business. :p

Me too, on both. For some odd reason I have always wanted an odd number of kids but not just one.

Hmmm, any old thing about myself? Okay, here goes.

I am married to my best bud and his name is Sean Looney. Unfortunately, our children will have that same last name. We are trying to start a family. We want our children surrounded by everything creative and imaginative. We want to reading, coloring, crafting, playing to be a significant part of our children's upbringing.

I have a wild side that I am thinking not many people know about. I also by no means, in any form, believe in god or a god. The universe is just too damn big and humans are too damn disappointing for me to believe in something like that.

I will end there :)

Always good to see another atheist around these parts. :)

Oh yeah? Cool. How long have you been an athiest? I grew up Roman Catholic. Surprise there, huh?

Would love to hear your views on the matter :)

My whole life. My dad was a catholic when he was growing up and my mom wasn't religious - they got pregnant with me before getting married (at city hall, mind you) so there was all kinds of conflict with my dad's family in regards to religion. My parents just kind of gave up on religion and my brother and I were never exposed to it. As I grew up, I learned a ton about religion (took several classes in college, I've been to services for nearly all religions out there) but just didn't think it was for me - I find it quite fascinating, particularly from a sociological perspective. I have a heavy scientific/analytic background/mind, so it's difficult for me to be a "believer" in things like miracles and creationism, etc. Additionally, similar to what you said, I just don't feel like we know enough about the universe to be able to accept a concept of a god or gods. Anyway, sometimes I am more agnostic than atheist, but that's just when I am feeling particularly curious about things. And I don't refuse to go to churches (like for weddings/ ( ... )

Well, I think you already know a lot about me (since you were my DOC, after all), but I'll try...

I need to balance my right-brained activities with my left-brained activities. Examples:

1- I went to a liberal arts college to major in French Lit and English. But I ended up dropping the English and adding Economics instead, because I was feeling too wishy-washy academically.
2- I am a corporate lawyer, but my favorite activities are very domestic (i.e., cooking, entertaining, wedding planning).
3- My best subjects in high school were French (got awards for it) and Biology (got perfect scores on my SATII and AP exam).
4- 2 things I could not live without: MS Money and sushi
5- I'm obssessed with budgeting, but I'll make sure it includes line items for stuff like "Savings for new Louis bag".

I'm obssessed with budgeting too. My weakness is having a seperate account for EVERYTHING. I have my an account for trips, having a baby etc. It makes banking a headache but I love looking at the statements for each account.

If I could make a living at it I would be a photographer for National Geographic and go live in the bush in some poor country.
