Hi. Long time LJ lurker coming out of hiding. I'm not even sure how I found you, but I must have stumbled upon your journal from someone else's.

I have a great poster of a Vogue cover from 1926 hanging in my bedroom. I'll post it in my journal, since I'm not sure how to post it here. I would like to get a Vanity Fair cover at some point too, but there are so many I like.

I'd love to see a photo of the poster you have. I did a quick scan of your journal and I like how you have so many photos. I'll have to go back and do some reading and posting.

Would you like me to friend you? Not all of my posts are public.

Yes! Sounds great. I'll friend you too. I love your website! Being a wedding planner must be grueling, but it must be nice to have such a creative outlet.

We definitely have to meet up at some point. Though I can't discuss art with you. For me it's just about liking it or not. I can't talk about it in any intelligent way. It's all visual with no intelligence placed behind what I like.

I also have a nude that I purchased in college when I worked at a gallery. I had forgotten what it looked like so last night I called my mother and had her pull all my pieces out of storage and read the titles to me. Everything is in here place in Ohio. I looked them up online and I think I still like them and will be willing to find a way to use them in our place.

I have a confession to make. I have been searching for art books since last night and thought I should start a nude art book collection. Specifically, I like Schiele, Klimt and Modigliani - these nudes are so beautiful and elegant and colorful. I actually have a shrine of naked lady prints above husband's chest drawer - random gifts - and thought, why not collect art books ( ... )

By the way, if there ever is a gettogether.. ramada2 January 27 2006, 20:40:50 UTC
I haven't seen you for years - if there is/people want a museum get together, let me know! I can get usually up to 4 people in free to the MET, Moma, Guggenheim with company ID.

Hello!
Was just reading along - and thought I would drop a "hello"...
I love both posters (I like the second one slightly more - something about the flying oranges...=))
Hope you don't mind if I friend your journal...we're moving into a new space at the end of February so I'm always looking for new ideas!

Yes, I like the second one a little more as well. It's just a fun image and she seems a bit Latin-esque to me.

I will friend you as well... though I can't say I have any great ideas. I look forward to reading along.

Not sure if someone else answered this, but I believe the cognac poster says "sunshine in a glass" or something to that effect :-).

Hi again, I think you posted before to my Costa Rica questions. If you don't mind I will friend you (not that I am around much).

Someone else said the first poster said the same thing... I really like that saying. Makes me want to get the poster just for that but I kind of like the one on the right a bit more.
