i have applied. this is both relieving and utterly nerve-wracking.

it's painful the ways that knitting finds to make me humble. i've finally gotten the hang of intarsia and i'm all, "hoo-boy aren't i a fancy pants knitter now?! i'm not afraid of colour work anymore! i'm fantastic!" and the very next row i knit 2/3rds of the way through before i realize that was supposed to be my purl row. so here we are. last night when i came home from werk there was a large beetle scrambling to get off its back right outside the door to my apartment building. i helped flip it over and she was so very large and beautiful. shiny yellow orange with a few tiny black spots along her sides.
