One Book Forward: Your help needed

Ok, so related to my last 2 "meta-posts", I'm not in a position where I'm ready to be launching this yet, but I'm at the point where I'm starting to need help to get this concept going so I'm not really left with any choice. So here goes.

As I was saying a couple posts ago, I had an idea late one night for a charity concept which I want to explore. ( Read more... )

As much as I like your title (much better than the above ones) this idea has been done.

But if you go ahead with it I'll be happy to donate some books :)

Yes, I realise it's been done before (I didn't do any searching on it, but since when have I ever had an original idea) but the point is (and should always be with charitable efforts) do you see it being done in OUR community. Of course, even if it was being done in our community, why can't somebody else do the same?

The more the merrier I reckon.

P.S., Looking at bookcrossing, they've pretty much done exactly what I was thinking of, a registration system using a unique ID for each book so that you can log journals etc.

P.P.S. I should stop posting at work. I've got 1500+ files to review. :S

Would be cool to start one here, especially as there aren't many books from that website in Adelaide. As I said, just yell out if you want some books :)

Sounds like a pretty cool idea... I haven't seen anything like that here before, heh.
