Don't worry, I'm voting for Mr X :) A lot of people are. It would surprise me very much if he didn't make it.

So what if he's a media showpony. He gets people talking, and puts wheels in motion. Word to the X.

If it gets attention diverted to the right areas, there's nothing wrong with a little razzle dazzle. :)

That's great! :) I'll be voting for him (I was struggling to think of anyone who'd be worthy actually, but he's doing it for SA so that's gotta be a good thing right? )

I've always found it difficult to categorise my voting preferences, since I'm a strong left socially, but a moderate right economically. For most issues, I find Democrats or Greens to be supportive, but I have always felt the true power rests with the independant. Look at Brian Harradine (not that I supported him, but) for Tasmania. I think South Australia will be lucky indeed with Mr X in our corner.

He shits me, to be honest. I met him a couple times when I was at uni, and he just seemed like an unmitigated douchebag.

But I do agree with the fact that his showboating draws attention to some of the problems in politics, and weird changes that make no sense. I just wish a less arrogant person was behind it.

You sir, win at life for use of the phrase "unmitigated douchebag."

Beggars (The Australian voting population stuck between a war and an workplace relations fuckup) can't be choosers though methinks. :P

Well yeah, if I was voting today I'd probably put him down, cause in spite of being a bit of a dick, he's still got some of the right ideas.

Ah, representative democracy.
