reading speak.  wondering about depressing YA books, the awful reminders of HS--generally an okay time, but a bit more negative than positive.  get to the bleachers / pep rally / plot hook revelation scene.

I was pondering this issue myself as I set up the order for the syllabus. "Love" had to be on Valentine's Day week, of course, but should the lighter books, like Stormbreaker and Angus Thongs, be early on, because they were easier reads, or later on, because they'd provide a nice break to all the heavier stuff?
