Busy, busy, busy

The lack of visitors during the school holiday/rainey season has meant that my life in America has settled down into some sort of routine. Each month I sit down with the calendar and fill it up with all the committee meetings I attend and various other things like book club, writing group and now something that I am very excited about - craft night ( Read more... )

Well now that I've seen the size of the spiders in Florida...you may be spared more visitors!!

While this doesn't help your trip to Chicago now...if you go back there are some cool things to see. The Natual History Museum is (in my opinion) pretty awesome. There is also the Navy Peir which can be a bit crowded but does occasionally have some cool stuff going on. (We happened to be there one time when they had masted ships sailing in the harbor.) And there are night time tours on the lake which can be interesting. The "no longer called the Sears tower" has a fasinating view if you venture to the top and are not afraid of heights and there is a large ferris wheel left over from a world fair on the Navy Pier. Plus the Chicago Art Museum is a interesting place to visit. And this is just stuff we walked around and checked out while we were there (although we did not once get on the "El").
