David Emerson is my MP, as in he ran in my riding and I almost voted for him. This makes his COMPLETE AND UTTERY FUCKWITTERY all the more frustrating for me. He should be dragged out and shot behind the chemical sheds.

Now, this may be coming across as unnecessarily harsh, so I did a little research into the ridings history and since 1963 we've ( Read more... )

David Emerson is the suxor - his traitorous fuckwittery even made American papers.

And since you made the chemical sheds reference - are you planning to go see V for Vendetta? I have to admit it's the one movie I've been waiting for since I'd bought that copy of the Alan Moore graphic novel.

I'm trying for opening night with Laina and a few other memebers of the old crowd. I love the graphic novel as well, I just hope it isn't butchered as badly as Leauge of Extrodinary Gentleman. Truely a tragic example of great writing forever tarnished.

David Emerson is the worst loser ever. I agree with you Keith, it's just abou tthe power. Once he found out he was going to be stuck in *gasp* opposition, it was just a matter of finding the highest bidder to put him back in power. I know why the conservatives wanted him, it's the same reason Harper did something we haven't seen for more than half a century (because we decided it was generally undemocratic) and went and appointed a new senator to make him a member of the cabinet. Harper's party couldn't win itself any seats in Canada's 3 biggest cities, and rather than trying to form a cabinet without any representation from Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver, he went shopping to see what he could buy, and found a montreal senator, and a spineless liberal from Vancity. Personally, I think it really says soemthing that our country's major urban areas all rejected the current governing party, and I think it may prove to be Harper's downfall.

but of course, that's just what I think.

More bad news for Emerson. The latest poll numbers show the portion of all people in BC who support his move is a whole 9% below the percentage of total conservative voters in the province. When even 1/4 of all BC conservatives think you've done a crappy thing, you've got to have skin as thick as three whole pigs taped back to back to claim you still have the public's support and are stil acting in their best interest. Incidently, right now he's justifying his refusal to run in a by-election with that exact defence. Makes me want to pull my hair out, or better yet, his.

Keith, I need to ask you take me off your friends list. I'm honoring Chloe and Nat and what they've requested so he can heal. I've appreciated knowing you all these years and think very highly of you.

Well, if that's how things have to be I guess. I've tried hard to stay out of that little pot of drama but I guess it's time I backed out completly. It was great knowing you too Russ, maybe we'll encounter eachother again in some medium.
