I love the Pingians. I do. You've made them so damn likable and the fact that some of them are actually being friendly to their human husbands makes it really hard to dislike them. Cannot wait for more.

Finally got to read this part and oh...! *poor Jim*!! My heart goes out to him - how mortifying going through all that. I love his cunning, getting the Pingians to agree to their bathing every few days, though Spock's absence is worry - actually everything about Spock's situation is worrying. I'm dying to see how this all turns out - especially the K/S part, as Jim and Spock barely (fnaar, fnaar!) see each other!

And I adore this first person characterisation of Jim - this one line is *so* spot on: Three years of Academy training, which was tougher than I ever intend to admit to anyone
