I loved this line: An affronted, appalled look crossed Marcus's face as if Esca had suggested a dash of piss might improve the flavour.

I was running late already, but I madly saved this part to read on the bus on the way to work, and am I ever glad I did. Holy Hannah, that has to be one of the hottest first kisses I have ever read, and it was all in the restraint, the bottled-up longing, which was so thick you could cut with a knife. Can't wait to see what happens when they finally let go.
