Finally time to read and comment! And oh... ♥

I've been dying to know Esca's backstory from the time he made an off-hand comment to Marcus that he couldn't work anywhere else for some reason. The fact that he was a C.O. makes so much sense and fits beautifully into what was going on at the time. I can totally imagine how ostracised he must have been for it and the whole feather thing and the fact he still carries one, broke my heart. I love that Marcus isn't judging Esca for his decision and still wants to be with him - it gives me hope for their future.

As always your narrative is wonderful - I love this line, it made me grin: a bum like a cleft hill growing out of a plain and the little moments of description between the superb dialogue were wonderful, bringing the whole scene to life for me - no more than that, making it so very vivid.

Wonderful, wonderful update, bb. ♥

Okay, so I just finished reading the fic so far, and it's taken me days because I have a short attention span, but THIS is so worth the effort. I can't wait to read more.

Ohhhhh. This was so worth waiting for. *loves on them and you*

The CO backstory is genius - I'd been trying to work out what Esca's mystery was, and this is the perfect answer. Poor Esca.

where you're concerned, the fight's unconquerable. I admit I'm beaten

BE STILL MY HEART. *faints*

Gosh, that took a lot of guts. No wonder Esca has struggles. Amazing writing.
