Wow, that was fantastic! I'll be so sad when we get to the end :/ Those boys are beautiful and real and they deserve all the happy ends in the world :)

HOORAY! True love conquers all...really enjoyed the description of Marcus's heart being faithful like a dog. Some people are lovely like that, aren't they? :)

Can't waaaaait for the conclusion. :)))

I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy right now. I'm sooo gonna miss this fic. *sniff*
I love everything about this chapter, Esca's arrival, his acquaintance with Marcus's uncle, the reconciliation, the intimate moment.

And this: "If you've won him once, you've no fight ahead. His heart is as loyal as the most faithful of dogs and, once won, remains yours.”
So true!! Plus, uncle Aquila is the coolest uncle EVER! Esca and Marcus are really lucky. :D

I went to see The Vow today, and all I could think of when Channing Tatum was on screen, wasa your Marco and Esca. The way you describe his eyes and his dimples and the freckles on his shoulders.

I really felt for Esca on his train journey - the thought that he'd burnt all his bridges at home but was so uncertain what he'd find at the end of his journey. So brave - I can understand why he was scared. The taxi driver made me laugh - they are a universal breed wherever you are in the world.

I loved his arrival with all the dogs around him - you described it so vividly I had a really clear picture of it in my mind. :)

Can I just say, with the introduction of Uncle Flavio that he is utterly awesome. :) I love that despite the English having been the enemy not long before, when a stranger who purports to be a friend of Marcus shows up, Flavio cheerfully takes him in. And I love the idea of him wandering naked around the house! ;) And that he looks after three local widows - he's a one! Heh! ;) I love that Marcus wrote home about Esca and that Flavio kept the letters.

And the reunion - oh! Esca worried he was going to black out if his heart continued to race like this for much longer Poor Esca - I totally empathise ( ... )
