I have loved the whole journey of this story so very much. There is a earthy ( for lack of a better word from my part) quality to their love. A physicality that goes beyond Marcus' beauty, and that makes them real and wonderful and unforgettable.

Ps. A tiny nit pick on the Italian: it should be dolcemente not dolcamente. And when Marcus calls Esca my light, it should read mia luce, because light is a feminine noun.

I had been waiting for this to be done, and - wow - totally worth the wait. I meant to go see a movie tonight, but I ended up reading this instead, and it was well wroth staying in. Amazing job with the development of the relationship and with the original characters and just everything. Loved it to death.

I finally gave in and read this after an HBO free preview weekend when it seemed that HBO really, truly, ABSOLUTELY wanted me to watch The Eagle. Mmm, Esca.

I really enjoyed this story even though you put them through so many little heartbreaks on the way to the final (happy) chapter. I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you for writing this.

I've been thinking about this story, wondering how you'd wrap things up-- all I knew was that I wanted only good things for these boys, and I am so, so happy with what you've done here.

As sweet and wonderful and heartwarming as every little bit of this was, I think my absolute favourite part was seeing how they've grown into a real couple, bickering over the food, Esca flicking his olives at Marcus across the table, then softening it all with a kiss. That scene melted my heart. I'm so happy for them! And so thankful that you created this whole world for us in the first place!

I absolutely adored this story! The boys' interactions with each other were excellent, and Marcus's passionate adoration of Esca was the perfect complement to Esca's more stoic, practical, but no less fiery feelings for Marcus.

I love that you stayed true to the period of the story and respected the difficulties that would come with being gay and desiring a relationship in that time (but still found a way to have them wind up with a happy ending!). It's been a little while since I really looked forward to the next chapter of something being posted, but I'll tell you I was biting my nails for the last few of these! Again, lovely job!
