Alive, she cried!

Hello, Live Journal. How have you been? I'm sorry I spend so much time actively avoiding you these days. But you make me kinda sad. You aren't what you used to be, and I'm not who I used to be, and I don't really know what to do with you any more. So let's just talk about where we are now for a bit, okay ( Read more... )

*Raises hand.* Still here! TV-wise I'm into Sherlock, Lost Girl, Arrow, Sleepy Hollow, Grimm, Castle, Suits, Bones, NCIS, and Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. I'm curious about Musketeers. You know Highlander fans have trouble resisting people with swords. Actor-wise along with still loving John Barrowman, and Benedict Cumberbatch, I've continued to get more attached to Tom Hiddleston and Michael Fassbender. I'm thrilled to have heard John Barrowman will get regular cast billing on Arrow in the fall. I'm positive that if I manage to see Benny do Hamlet he will make me cry. Like elikiros, as good as I found Tom's Hal in the Henry IV plays, I swear his Henry V is one of the finest things I've ever seen him do anywhere. Last, I'm waiting impatiently for the opening of X-Men: Days of Future Past to get here. I can't wait to see Michael's and Ian's Magnetos in one movie!

I am so with you doing the happy dance for Barrowman getting a regular gig on Arrow. It's so much fun watching him do the bad guy! He's obviously having a blast!
Really looking forward to watching all of the Hollow Crown. Tom is so at home with Shakespeare. I was in awe of his Coreolanus.

Thanks! All such company is appreciated!! :D

Yeah! I was telling my dad just the other day how much fun it is seeing him do the bad guy!! Course I didn't show him the picture John tweeted out asking, "What could go wrong?"

Tom is so at home with Shakespeare.

*Takes off Tom Hiddleston fangirl hat, and puts on her William Shakespeare one.*

Speaking as a Shakespeare geek, it's kind of hard to compare Tom's Prince Hal to others, not to mention his Coriolanus. I mean Coriolanus isn't just a lesser done play, it's a lesser done Roman play, and they're lesser done to begin with. The only other Coriolanus I'd heard of was Ralph Fiennes and it's... ah... different to say the least. The thing about Henry V is that it's been done by legends. I mean Laurence Olivier and Kenneth Branagh both did big award winning film versions of the play. Those are big boots to step into, ( ... )

Okay, now I really need to start in on the Hollow Crown. :) As for Coriolanus, I have never had any desire to see it before. I would probably never have seen it if not for Tom's version. I wonder what else he could get me to see. ;)

I'm still lost in Hiddles love :D Umm... LJ, I miss it, miss fandom in general. I keep thinking if this were 15 years ago, I'd be spamming an email list with discussions of Loki, Tony, Tom... you get the idea. Now,pretty much crickets. If it weren't for my yearly RL trip, Ladies Assemble, I'm not sure what I'd do with my fannish energies! This was the first year we didn't hold it in Vegas, but had a great time in SoCal.

Still writing, recently got an Instagram account, which has been fun, still watching too much TV. Current faves are Lost Girl, Sleepy Hollow, Scandal, Agents of SHIELD, Once Upon a Time, Vikings, Downton, Justified, Americans, Covert Affairs, and many too many more.

We recently cut the cord, no more Dish. Only using Hulu, Amazon Prime, and some downloads. Actually don't miss it. Love saving all the money!

That's all the excitement in my life :D

Any time you want to spam me with discussions of anything Hiddles related, you go right ahead. :)

I had been loving Justified until this last season. It felt to me like they completely lost the plot. I couldn't even watch the last few episodes. They better get it together for the final season.

I've also been doing a lot of amazon prime watching. And our new Roku is fantastic. The way people watch television shows is evolving continually. I'm curious how we'll be watching things in another 10 or 15 years.

I'm mostly watching Hannibal, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Doctor Who, and The Big Bang Theory, although I am a bit behind with some of those shows
