NOOOOOO! Not Rabelo!!! Why is this happening to me?! :( If they try to trade Granderson there will be Hell to pay. (however, they will never do that...hopefully)

I'm pretty certain they got rid of Maybin because they're KEEPING Grand-o.

They both played the same position, and Granderson won out.

It's really only two "big" position players replaced (Inge and Casey)... I assume J. Jones will fall into left field which was always flip flopped last season. It saddens me to see Inge move, but how can I argue with the numbers? I'm assuming he won't become the DH, even if Sheffield's shoulder detonates...

Maybe he'll be back up catcher.

That may be viable, depending on the condition of Vance "The Trance" Wilson. After snooping around message boards for a little while I found that the general consensus (among those fans) is that no other team will be willing to trade anybody decent for Inge, so he may stick around as super utility guy.

Furthermore, word on the street is that Miguel Cabrera doesn't possess nearly the defensive capabilities of Charles Brandon Inge.

I actually heard this also. However, it is rumored that Cabrera lost a few pounds since the end of the season, and may be more mobile than he was before.

I can't wait for spring training!

I agree with every word you said. This doesn't happen often enough.

PS- Dan and I are waiting for pictures of your new addition.

I have to say, I agree. I agree with almost everything they have done (T. Jones back, I don't know...) but I think I was more shocked that they actually made some major trades. I figured that they wouldn't give up young guys who could turn out to be All-Stars or Hall of Famers to get the possible last pieces to the puzzle. This day and age, it doesn't happen much. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they did, just surprised.

As for the American League next year, the Tigers have a great shot. Quite frankly, the dangerous Central is dead. The Twins won't amount to anything, the Royals will be the Royals, and the White Sox just finished up one of the most boneheaded trades of the entire offseason. The Indians will still be the team to beat, but its pretty clear to me now that the Tigers have the better lineup (just as they had, in theory, the better lineup last year). Sabbathia and Carmona may have choked in the postseason, but they are still two 19 game winners who know how to get the job done. Hafner's poor season last year probably won't be repeated and the rest of the Indians lineup is solid. It'll be another close race to 95 wins, but I think the Tigers can do it ( ... )
