abilene is okay, but mostly because i'm so busy with school that i appreciate not having many distractions. however, the people here (including the ones in my graduate program) are all really nice. sometimes i forget and think i'm still in austin (like if i'm at home and thinking of where i'd like to go out to eat or what i'd like to do for fun), that kinda sucks.

yeah, i understand. i was like that when i moved here. i would crave things from charleston. i still do, but i've found things here that i really like. i'm glad you are having a good experience there. good luck with school!
