What is going with fandom challenges these days, people? Due to the flue (and my own fiddlings) I've only just today managed to catch up some more on the artwork on spn_reversebang and I'm amazed by the over all lack of comments. It makes me sad. Is it because everyone is busy? Too involved in canon to pay attention to fandom?
As you know in the past I've always been unpleasantly surprised how relatively few attention is given to art in a challenge that is supposed to celebrate artists. (No fic without our prompts!) But I think this year the stories don't get as many comments neither.
Come on, fandom, don't just lurk and read; give the artists and authors some love. If the amount of posts is too overwhelming, here are some pieces I recommend you start with:

Such delicate drawings and watercolours, I love the soft colours and all the fracking details in fore- and background. The angles chosed for the interiors are great points of view. It's all so beautiful! (Oh my, the shadow of the bike in that prompt image, glorious:)
Misfortune In The Cards by quickreaver

LOVE the monsterbabe and the concept of the cards. The execution of those is perfect: well chosen texture, great drawings of all the characters. (The hanged man, hot dayum) The extra art of the babe is a great bonus. Awesome set of art. *chinhands*

Heart's Ease (The Stolen Man) by scarletscarlet

This was my favorite piece of art when the prompts were revealed, it's such a wonderful image and idea; terrifying and somehow lovely at the same time;) I love that the headers have the same style.
The banner is very clever and even more impressive since it was made last minute!
The final image is horrifyingly amazing! Very fascinating point of view, since we are looming from our perspective too, it's an overwhelming set up. Great all over!
Dean with butterfly wings (The North American Field Guide to Dean Winchester) by sillie82

That pencil drawn prompt is such a beautiful piece; one of Sillie's best (so far;) it captures Dean's grumpy face perfectly! Sam's expression is also priceless;)
The additional piece is gorgeous as well, I love the pale colour of the skin and the bright green wings. Not just the blood, but his whole posture oozes sadness.

I'm in love with that hourglass in the banner. *stares* Love the rest of the artwork too;) The muted colours and limited shapes add to the desolate feel of the pieces. Excellent stuff.

I'm still not fit, but I was well enough this morning to start my exercise regime with Gilad again. Go me \o/ Also: my own RB artwork (second set) will be revealed this afternoon. DUNDUNDUN....
