I would have thought that paper books had more than five years left, but then publishing has changed a lot over the last few years so maybe the 'bottom line' mentality will kill them that quickly ( ... )

That's pretty much the only time I ever read books online, lol :) Nice to hear it from others!

I prefer reading a physical book over an eBook. Music is a little different, as I can still make mixed CDs to listen to in my car of the MP3s I've downloaded. But I can't get into reading on my computer screen if there is the option of a physical book.

And I dunno about the staying power of printed books. I mean, they still release music albums on vinyl (some, not all). I think there is enough of a physical-book-loving public that will keep the publishers printing them.

Much prefer a printed book to reading on the computer. Haven't done the whole ereader devices outside of the computer...but...for me it's just much easier on the eyes to read a book than a screen. i really hope the printed book has much longer than 5 years left. i don't tend to read as much as i did about 5 or 6 years ago....lack of funds to buy books...so, when i do read it is from the library after a nice little wait when something new comes out. This could be another reason for the downfall of printed books...not selling as many because of the economic problems of the past couple years??? and more people counting on their local libraries and the few copies they have???
