Slid my motorcycle down the road.
I'm O.K.

Bum. Glad you're ok at least. How's the bike? And do you know what caused it?

Yep, impatience and lack of observation on my part. bikerfaerie November 23 2009, 01:29:00 UTC
I overtook 2 lorries going just before a roundabout then having some open road in a 60 limit I opened up the throttle exiting the roundabout and found a diesel spill just as I was leaning and accelerating, didn't see the diesel in time due to rain, lost grip to both wheels and slid down the road on my bum.

I'm fine, bike easily repairable.

I think that's more down to crappy luck than your fault really, for a patch of diesel to be sat waiting there for you at just the wrong moment. We really should all club together and get you a big pile of better luck one of these days.

At least if the bike can be fixed fairly easily it's not so bad in the bigger picture.

I need to replace the indicators, handle-bars, brake and clutch leavers patch the fairing, clock surrounds and exhaust, I already have all of the above except the clutch leaver as when I bought the bike it came with a second broken one as spares.

Back on road for about 1 days work and about £35 so not to bad.
