how do you help someone who wants your help but doesn't listen to you? do you keep trying, even though they still don't heed your words? if you know the truth, and an easy way for one of your friends to excape a hazardous situation, you tell them, and then they still don't listen, what do you do? im just curious.

I've had to learn the hard way that just because someone "wants" your help doesn't mean that they "need" your help.....maybe by asking for your help what they're really asking for is for you to tell them exactly what they want to hear. Sometimes people will only respond to exactly what they want to hear....but you should still stick to what you think and what you've told them. Its really difficult-but you also have to think that though your advice might seem easy to you as an outsider, for the other person it might be one of the hardest obstacles to tackle.
