"Hey, Sam? It's Lana. If you're free, could you maybe come over like... now and help me move my things into the cottage? I'll either be at the house or the cottage, just come on in. And thanks."
Not being entirely sure when she might run into Sam, Tosh stopped off at his house and just slipped the card she'd bought under the door.
Like the ones she'd got for the rest of the Torchwood men, it was simple and tasteful, not too flowery, and just carried a message of Happy Valentine's Day, Toshiko.
"Anders. 'S Dean. Jack's five and left most of his clothes and his gun in the woods. Can you go pick 'em up? I'll call the rest of the team and let 'em know what's what."
"Dammit, Sam, answer! I'm at the clinic with Phoebe and Piper. You probably felt it. They're both pretty badly hurt. Get over here as soon as you can. If you need me to shimmer you, just call."
Sam didn't get the call, being dazed in some shrubbery out of town somewhere at the time, unfortunately . . . and checking his voicemail wasn't exactly the first thing on his mind when he finally got back to his feet, so he didn't hear the message until he was already on the ferry.
Good thing it was a fairly empty boat that time, or the passengers might have thought he was a crazy man . . .
