Saturday, 6/25/05 - We park our car in way way the fuck away long-term parking at Logan. Catch our flight on Song. Arrive in Vegas. We get a free rental car upgrade. Sebring convertible. We drive to the hotel with the top down in the warm desert night. Gamble some, lose.
Sunday, 6/26/05 - Meet Scuzzy's parents at the Green Valley Ranch http://www.greenvalleyranchresort.com . Eat at the Pancake House. Food is good but pricey for breakfast. $4.00 for orange juice! It was damn good orange juice, though. Then we go to the Shark Reef at Mandelay Bay. It had stingrays. I am going to swim with the stingrays at Grand Cayman Island in December. Then we ditch the parents and go back to the hotel room to get ready for our date. The zipper breaks on my new Nordstroms ensemble. Sucks. Good thing I overdress for everything and have a suitable replacement. We eat at Lupo's at the Mandelay Bay. We love Lupo's. Then we see "O" at the Bellagio http://www.bellagio.com/pages/frameset_noflash.asp . It was amazing. AMAZING. And of course we gamble and even win a little. Well, Scuzzy wins, I lose.
Monday, 6/27/05 - This is our day of relaxation. We check out the new Wynn casino. It's beautiful. It has waterfalls all along the property. Then we catch Mr. & Mrs. Smith at our hotel theater. It was entertaining. Then we eat Mexican at Macayo's. Yum yum. Then I foolishly decide that we should go back to Wynn and gamble. My theory is that the slots will pay well because it's a new casino. Apparently everyone else in Vegas has that very same idea. We lose.
Tuesday, 6/28/05 - Drive to Laughlin. Check in at the Golden Nugget. Gamble. Then go to Scuzzy's family cook-out in Kingman. After all that familial hilarity we head back to the casino and gamble. Scuzzy decides to play the tables. I stick with penny slot machines. While I am winning a creepy guy starts stalking me. I told him my name was Jenny and I am from Oregon and I am married and I am not interested but he still keeps following me. I grab Scuzzy off the tables and make him stay with me while I gamble. Oddly enough, I win.
Wednesday, 06/29/05 - Drive to Phoenix, check into Homewood Suites. Scuzzy's brother picks us up, we head to the Diamondbacks game. We have our own parking spot. Our seats are Legacy Club seats. We have our own restaurant with excellent food. We are right near the batting cages. Our seats are unbelievable. The food and drink is free. We eat too much. The Diamondbacks lose.
Thursday, 06/30/05 - The whole Scuzzy family decides we're going to eat at a fondue/Japanese restaurant. Our Sebring convertible gets a flat on the freeway. We are stranded in 112 degree heat. It all sucked. Tire was replaced blah blah blah. The fondue/Japanese restaurant was good though. Later that afternoon we go to another Diamondbacks game. Wednesday's scenario happens again. Including the D-backs' loss. Losers.
Friday, 07/01/05 - We drive back to Vegas. Check into Bally's. Our room is really nice. http://www.caesars.com/Ballys/LasVegas/Hotel/Accommodations/Accommodations.htm We decide to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris. We can see all of Vegas bright lights and all. We gamble and pretty much lose.
Saturday, 07/02/05 - Our flight doesn't leave until 10 p.m. so, we have to find stuff to do. We head over to the Venetian where they have the best Sephora in the whole wide world. I purchase Clean Fun perfume, Lip Venom, and Paula Dorf powder. I love you Venetian Sephora! Then we head over to Sunset Station where we proceed to WIN! Scuzzy wins hundreds of dollars on the craps and blackjack tables and I win on the slots. I hit $120 on a penny slot machine in one spin. Then we eat dinner at In-n-Out burger before heading to the airport.
