I'm not handy, but we had two broken appliances (dishwasher and clothes washer), and we were all over the internet figuring out how to get error codes from blinking lights and what they mean and possible ways to troubleshoot them, and both we finally decided were not simple solutions ("clean out the drain filter") and instead different electrical parts failing. I've had triumphant "adulting" moments (when I figured out how to take apart a clothes washer and clean it out after our basement flooded) but not this time.
