Man overboard!

Heh. Not Really. But the ferry IS stopping right now, and all the alarms are going off while they perform their monthly "Man Overboard" drill. First I've experienced in 16 months of riding the ferry, so I guess they vary the shifts. Amusing and mildly comforting, especially when I lean off the back snapping pictures.

Gah! I've been sucking lately as a photographer.
This is just one of many photo-ops that I haven't realized until after the fact, or where I haven't kept my camera with me. There was an awesome police bust right outside my office as I was walking to lunch - sudden swooping of 3 squad cars, 2 unmarked cars and one motorcycle, seemingly out of nowhere, pulling over a vehicle and arresting the occupants. Clearly a planned event as opposed to a chase. Quite the sight.
