"okay kids: mommy's bored, so we're moving to Nepal."

Sounds to me like your kids' first words will be "YAAAAAAY!"

I do not think it will be Yay. Nepal will be just as boring to them as Baltimore. Kids are sucks.

I'm sorry I missed you when you were in town, Alex. I never check AR anymore because I am hella busy and I have enough internet drains in my life. But anyway, I am lame for missing your visit.

I think it is okay to up and leave. Girl, you are younger than I am and you do not need to settle down. If you have disposable income, do not feel that just because you are married you have to stay in one place right now (unless Adrian wants to stay in one place, which is a different thing). When you have kids, maybe it will be time to stop moving around (find an area that has enough excitement, not unlike the bay area, where you can go hopping around to different cities and parts of cities and feel the change without actually leaving). But right now, hell, do what you want. You're smart. Find a vibrant place to stay.

Job hunting can suck, but I trust you'll find something awesome. <3

I could look after your children. I mean, lets face it, they are not going to want to chill with crazy old grandma mimi, or weird OCD, cold blooded, cat lady aunt danielle.
By the time and stage you have them i will probably not be such an amusing train wreck. Well, that is the hope anyway. Also, I have been entrusted with looking after a small child before- true story. I changed nappies, i fed him, put him to bed, took him out for playtime, WITH SNACKS!!!! I even remembered to bring snacks! I always sit with him and read him books I bought him, mostly because I dont want him to be as inherently stupid as both his parents are. Sometimes I am responsible! I swear!

which small child have you looked after? i don't think i've ever dealt with "nappies" at all. by the way, i will never call them nappies. ugh, what a dumb word! but yes, yes, you will chill with the chilluns. you shall have them whenever you want them.

Xander, Kathryns siter Kellys child. So doomed to be stupid and a bogan. The mother is basically a belligerent idiot who truly believes she knows it ALL and the father is a mutiple drug addled schizophrenic (im going to assume i spelt that wrong). They are not together and there is the constant threat of court over who should have custody of the baby.
I just want him to grow up and talk properly and not be entirely useless like his parents.

Sorry but I find all this disturbing, Alex we have an aggreement bound in Glen Fiddoch on your wedding night! No Bairns for the (my) first 1/2 century! remember?
I concur see as much of the world that you can afford to while you can, leave the children till 29 - 30 something!
Re: Oma (goad!) Mimi she'll be good for overnight stays during the nappy period but pre-school to pre-teens she should be shunned.
Siblings can be cruel, Danielle will be okay, I think she likes children (boiled or fried?)
Nappies Vs Diapers!!?
Grand dad & Stepgran may spend a bit of time at sea, but will furnish nurishing meals, comfortable beds and the odd Punk Rock lullaby when most needed!
From experience never look a gift horse in the mouth, (too hard) when it comes to baby sitting.

I'm with Noodle. Don't squash your flight instinct now- you don't HAVE kids yet. Up and go. If you have the brass to move all around the world, then DO IT. I wish I could. I've got the wanderlust but not the means, unfortunately. I see no reason you shouldn't, as long as Adrian is cool with jet-setting the globe with you.

You two should come up here for some drinks. We can help her think of places to go on our behalf.

my dad had the flight instinct for most of my life and we never stayed anywhere longer than five years until the place we moved when I turned fifteen. but we usually stayed five years. I dunno. It can be confusing and hard but I wouldn't trade it ever, I loved living in Germany and Los Angeles and finding new places and stuff.
