okay it's time for a bunch of pictures that i haven't bothered to post from the past month!! two photos of my newly-henna'd arms, and then ten from a BBQ type of lunch with my immediate family at my parents' house.

OMG

Those henna tats are awesomesauce. My lady is looking at getting a paisley sort of tattoo somewhere. But you know. More permanent than henna. How long does henna last anyway? Isn't it like a week or something? SO COOL.

the henna looks good for about five days, but takes something like 2-3 weeks to completely disappear. it looks totally shitty after about a week, but not in an obtrusive way.. it just looks like you have some strange skin pigmentation happening.

a paisley tat would be awesome. it's not likely that i'll ever get a tattoo, just because i don't have a really strong desire for one, but a black-ink paisley one would probably be my #1 choice if i ever did (or do) end up getting a tattoo.

She was thinking something that was more of a dark red henna looking thing... paisley mainly because of Hanuman, the monkey god what with her being a primatologist and all.

Hope your skin problem clears up.

thank you! yeah, my parents' house is in a really beautiful old forest with 150-foot-tall trees. their deck comes off the house in such a way that it stands about 2.5 meters above the ground, so you sort of feel like you're in a treehouse. so pretty.
