Hesitate and that role or show or script you want is snapped up by the next in line and even once you have it, you don’t relax. You have to think on your feet and make it work, untangling complications, kissing ass and coping with bullshit just to bring out whatever muse attracted you in the first place.
If you’re lucky, though, you’ll have the chance to truly create something. It may be ephemeral, flickering like fireworks that dance for only a few breaths before the eyes of the audience, but that’s okay because you’ve worked on the greatest canvas of all - Life.
