Even aside from the obvious distraction to the driver, there's also the factor that most cars these days have airbags. The baby, due to the way that whole breastfeeding thing works, would have been perched directly between the driver and the airbag. If the airbag went off, I have no doubt it would have killed the baby.

So, yes, child endangerment for sure - not because of her driving, but her placing the baby directly in front of a potentially lethal explosive device...
