The Mental State

Today was a 12,000 step day. I got really tired of the treadmill, so I decided to finish my last mile outside. Much more interesting, and the time goes by so much more quickly. I think I pulled a muscle in my left calf, though. In the middle of walking tonight, the back of my calf about a third of the way up from my ankle started hurting very sharply. Then it kind of passed, and now it's just sore and feels like it needs stretching. What's up with that?

Also had another diabetes class tonight. They talked about all the bad things high blood sugar can cause. It was disturbing. And I think if they had shown me all that stuff in high school health class, maybe I would have taken exercise and eating healthy more seriously. Or maybe not. Two more classes, tomorrow and Wednesday night, and then I'll know everything :)

Edited to add: I now have also noticed that I have a dent running up the back of my calf muscle. I think I'll try a hot bath. I hope I have not caused irreparable harm, because I am going to Disney World in 5 days.
