Ugh, I know what you mean about feeling left out in a group of people ... I feel like I'm the only person in my group of "friends" that has any goals or wanting to better myself. I'm the only one in my group (in Seattle) that's married, and I feel like they single me out because of it...

It feels pretty intense when people comment on something, even people I don't know. I suppose that in itself makes me feel more accepted than anything else.
Rejection.. Ah yes. I'm scared to death of that too, but it has to be present in life, no matter how much we wish it wasn't. I say you go for it! I will someday, and damned the results. Though, as for what I write, it usually ends up being short stories that get right down to the gritty and raw of everything.

I would never single out someone who's married. I hope to someday marry my boyfriend and I think it's an amazing feeling knowing that you've found that one special someone to spend your life with.

I write short stories too, I wrote a collection of them for my senior project in high school. That's the farthest I got with that. My husband keeps trying to get me to write again, but I know he's going to want to read them and I just don't think they're that good.

Being married is AMAZING! Even though I am only 20 years old, got married at 19, it was the best decision I've ever made. We met when I was 14 and just never lost that spark. I hope you can marry your boyfriend, it is an amazing feeling knowing that you've found the one!!

I'm siding with your husband on that. What was it that was said once.." The hardest critic of an artist is herself." Surprise yourself and go out on a limb with this. Pick up writing again, because if it's something you truly enjoy, go for it.

I met my boyfriend at college about a year ago and I still have the feelings for hi, that I did when I first met him.

Your story's just amazing though. To find love and to never loose faith in it at all, that's just amazing in my eyes. I'm happy for you!
