[Asma could use a bit of relaxation. After everything in the forest, coupled along with the tiring experience of just being stuck here... well. Asma never got much of a chance to relax in Faudrin - hardly anyone did - but she isn't doing anything now and it isn't as if she has any given tasks while in the keep ( Read more... )

[ Bryn had been keeping to a few locations lately. Her room and the kitchens had been the main two. The messages on the slips of paper had disturbed her, and in the end it had seemed prudent to simply stay where she felt safe.

Over time though, that restless stir-crazy feeling had taken over and Bryn had found herself wandering the Keep's grounds. That was how she happened upon Asma at the thermal pools. With a hesitant smile, she spoke up.]

[The water ripples as Asma shifts to look over at Bryn. She offers her a look that... isn't really a smile, but definitely isn't a frown, either.]

Hello, Bryn. How have you been faring?

[ Bryn can handle neutrality. She's used to that, and often interprets it to mean that at least they aren't displeased to see her and/or want her gone. ]

Well enough, I suppose. I've been...keeping to myself lately. And yourself?

Adjusting. [Yep. :I

...]

Care to join me? [There's plenty of room and, hey, these things are damn relaxing.]

*Sollux hasn't been back to the thermal pool area since the tower expedition, but he's still curious about the frogs around there. He's not sure what to do with them, but is still convinced they're somehow important (other than the whole feeding crocs bit). He pauses, however, when he notices someone else's there. He could turn back, or he could ignore her, or he could be sociable.
For the moment he goes for ignoring her, other than a curt nod in her direction, and starts through the area.*

[Asma is busy relaxing, but it isn't difficult to notice that someone else is there. And... it's Sollux. She returns his nod with one of her own and shifts to better face him.]

Are you looking for something?

*...She's talking to him. He should talk back. At least she's one of those people he doesn't mind too much.
Sollux turns to Asma.*

Yeah, there are frogs here sometimes.

Oh? I don't think seen them before. [Granted, she hasn't spent a lot of time around here, but still.]

[A pirate walks in on the scene. He could even USE a bath. For a long moment he seems totally engrossed in a small handheld device. It has lead him here, but for what... reason....

Jack looks up and you get a moment where he doesn't know how to react.

Oh.

His next action would depend upon her. The compass did, indeed, lead him to something that he wanted...]

[And Asma looks over at Jack.

Oh.

It's you.]

Can I help you?

[Jack smiles rather charmingly.]

I think that depends on what kind of help you're offering there.

[Make no mistake, the dear captain is taking in the scenery.]

If you don't tell me what it is you need, then I wouldn't know what kind of help to give you.

[Straight-faced as ever. Sorry Jack, but Asma is charm-proof.]

[Things have been blessedly quiet in Alex's life this last month, thankfully. The full moon of just a few days' past had gone off without a hitch and he'd remained safely in the confines of the forest. He'd made certain to give himself ample time to get out of the Keep proper and had woken safely on the forest floor with no additional wounds to speak of.

He'd had his fill of time spent mending clothing and fixing food and, like Asma, was looking for a bit of relaxation.

He made his way down to the thermal pools, wrapped in a plush towel and his smile and little else. His steps slow, however, as he first hears and then scents the woman nestled in the water.

He pauses in his approach as she comes into sight, making a mindful attempt to not bother her. After all, not everone was okay sharing bathing/soaking pools.]

Mind if I join?

[And Asma will take a moment to dunk her head under the water before she surfaces and glances over at Alex.]

Not at all. [Feel free to hop right in.]

[When the young woman resurfaces from beneath the water, Alex offers her a grateful smile. She appears in as much a state of undress as he is about to be, but seems disinclined to be bothered by it.

In Alex's mind, if Asma is okay with it, then he has no reason not to be okay with it. And, as lovely as she was and as complimentary as he could be about her attributes, she had the wrong set of hardware to hold his attention in a lascivious manner.]

Thanks.

[Pulling his towel free, he drops it far enough away from the pool to keep it dry (his journal and key included in the bundle) and steps into the water. He lets out a hiss of pleasure as the water moves quickly up to cover him to his hips. His back and the right side of his ribs are covered in fresh looking scars, still pink after the healing Sycora had given him a month earlier. He'd have the scars for life and was, without a doubt, not going to find a career in modeling any longer with the assortment he'd gotten after last month's full moon ( ... )

As did I. [Her features crack with... is that a smile? It's honestly hard to tell for sure.]

These pools are certainly a good way to experience some form of relaxation. [Because there sure isn't much of a chance to do so otherwise.]

[Nepeta is pouncing frogs. It's not that the frogs are particularly tasty - she's yet to eat one - or that they're particularly hard to catch - they seem to like people - but they make for good pounce practice. She doesn't pay any attention to the woman in the pools until a wayward frog almost lands her in the water and in that woman's lap.

Nepeta hastily retreats to a few feet away and crouches, waiting to see if she should run.]

[It isn't all that difficult for Asma to hear Nepeta moving through the area. She would let the troll go about her business, but once Nepeta greets her, Asma turns and offers her an expression that's almost a smile.]

Hello.

[The human doesn't appear angered or even perturbed by Nepeta's pouncing.

Next time she will have to be more sneaky.]

What are you doing?

[Clearly she'll have to try harder next time!]

Taking a bath.
