2 Challenge Wallpapers
Made for two separate challenges over at BuffyWorld Forums.
One Kate Winslet and one Angel episodic from 'Disharmony' S2. And random explanations under the cut. *G*

Challenge #8 : Revertigo
It's about meetings with those from a character's past and the effects that they have on them in the present. What I am looking for is to show the effect that the character returning has on another character in particular.
Disharmony :: Betrayal

I chose Harmony's return in Angel during S2, one of my favourite episodes. Though Cordelia doesn't completely revert to type in this episode, it's interesting to see how she interacts with Harmony. She can laugh with Harmony, share a bottle of wine with her and reminisce about days gone by at high school... Of course, Harmony's also a vampire.
Cordelia spends much of this episode deciding that her friend can change, can decide not to bite people (after all, she didn't bite her!) -- a lot of it, I feel, is a get-back at Angel. She's feeling pretty pissed that he fired her the way he did and if he can just change and turn evil all of a sudden, then why can't Harmony change and turn good?
The conversation they have later:
Angel: "Harmony will turn on you."
Cordy: "Why? Because *you* did?"
Angel: "Because it's her nature. She's a vampire."
Cordy: "So are you."
Angel: "She doesn't have a soul."
Cordy: "Oh. That's it, is it? You're better than her because you have a soul?"
Angel: "Well, yeah."
Cordy: "I noticed yours didn't get in the way of betraying the people who worked with you, who cared about you."
Cordelia has decided at this point that it's choice for Harmony. She can choose to be good in much the same way that Angel let himself go off the rails, making the conscious all-soul-having decision to fire them.
Later, Cordelia realises that Harmony can't change when she sets them up. That as much as she may want to, she can't revert to the type who sits with her friend, laughing and drinking. Harmony's dead, a vampire, and will kill them all given half the chance.
So Cordy tells her that no, they're not friends. And to get the hell out of her town.
Hopefully, that made some kinda sense! LOL. I suck at explaining things!
Challenge 9: Inventions

Inspiration didn't strike for this challenge until I came across this quote:
When you come to a roadblock, take a detour. - Mary Kay Ash
I'd been working on this Kate Winslet piece for about a week and a half and hated everything I was doing with it. I ditched the boxy-thing, brought the colour caps back out and set about playing with textures and things to really make the whole thing stand out (I was bored of grey, damnit! lol)
Not one to give myself an easy job? I also tackled something I'd never tried before - changing eye colour and make up on the model I was using. This took me a good couple of days to get right... Kate looks pretty with green eyes though! (Well, I think so, LOL.)
