I get what you mean, though. When I'm thinking too much about something that's upsetting or scaring me, having to go work with my students will pull me right out of it. I think it's about concentration, and that fact that if I'm focused on something that I know I *have* to deal with, I can't focus on whatever's making me depressed or crazy. I also have tangible proof that I'm worthwhile as a person when I'm doing something that I know is important. Anyway, just my 2 cents.
